This page is created to keep you informed on our terms of services in regards to general behaviour, activity and rules on this Website.
By using the Website, you agree to the terms of service listed and agree to adhere by them.

General Rules
- All users must be at least 13+ in order to use this Website.
- Users must be 18+ in order to make any monetary purchases on this Website.
- Please be kind and courteous to others.
- Any form of harassment towards another member, whether this be hate, discrimation, or contacting someone against their wishes will not be tolerated, and may be subject to warnings and/or penalties depending on the severity of the action.
- Avoid broaching any heavily sensitive topics
- While we encourage users to be able to openly discuss things they are passionate about, please refrain from getting too deep into topics which may be upsetting to others, such as death, suicide, assault, illness, etc. If anyone starts to show signs of unease, please be respectful and do not broach the topic any further, and continue the discussion in private chats.
- Please keep negativity to a minimum.
- If you have any concerns with how something is handled in the group, feel free to send in a report.
User content
- Please keep all content PG-13! (No gore, nudity, and/or excessive swearing allowed)
- All submissions must be your own work. Do not submit another user's content or anything generated by AI.
- Do not heavily reference another user's work or any copyright content.
- Some inspiration is fine, but please do not directly copy another artist's style and/or copyright content.
- If we find any content to be infringing on any third party's rights, we reserve the right to remove it at any time, without any notice.
- All content should follow the given lore where possible.
- Anything that doesn't follow canon lore may be asked to be tweaked/removed.
- Avoid going into detail on any heavily sensitive topics (ex. death, suicide, assault, illness, etc).
- If we feel that any content starts approaching uncomfortable territories, we may ask for adjustments to be made.
- By submitting your content to the Website, you are granting us the permission to display it on the Website.
- If your works are displayed on the Website, we'll always be sure to credit you!
restrictions
- Do not use this Website in a negatively impactful way, including, but not limited to:
- Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of abusing systems.
- In contradiction to applicable laws and regulations
- Causing harm to the Website, or to any person/business entity.
- Engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting or any other similar activity in relation to this Website, or while using this Website;
- Engaging in any advertising or marketing through the Website.
Termination of Abusive accounts
You agree that Palopuffs may restrict your access to any areas of this Website, at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion, if you fail to comply with the Terms or applicable law.
Adopt etiquette
- Do not harass others to trade/sell/gift an adopt
- Unless the user explicity mentions they are open for contact, please refrain from any unsolicited offers. Repeat offences will receive warnings and/or penalties depending on the severity.
- Do not make negative remarks in regards to the cost of an adopt
- Pricing for adopts is subject to the designer as well as the buyer, and is completely subjective. If you feel that the cost of an adopt does not align with your own view on the adopt's worth, please refrain from commenting on this, and instead be respectful and supportive of others.
- Do not guilt-trip others for their adopts
- While you're free to feel passionate about a design or have dream designs, please refrain from commenting on how much you love/want a design, as this can be uncomfortable and disrespectful to the owner.
- Please ask for permission before doing any gift art/writing
- Unless a user has marked their adopt as open for gift art/writing on the Website, please be sure to ask prior to gifting someone something, or including their character in your submissions/prompts. While gifts are generally a welcome surprise, others may be more hesitant, or wish to have art/writing stay in-character.
Ownership/transfers
- No co-ownership
- All ownership transfers must be handled by the current owner through the Website.
- All transfers MUST have a reason listed.
- You do not need to go into detail, but we do ask that a reason is provided (ex. resale, trading for another adopt, etc). Any transfers without a reason listed will be sent back.
- All adopts will be subject to a seven (7) day cooldown from initial upload/ownership transfer.
- Please wait until cooldown is over before advertising an adopt for sale/trade.
- All FTO MYOs are account-bound and cannot be re-homed.
- If you no longer wish to keep an FTO MYO, you are free to return it to the group. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS PERMANENT, so be sure that you are fine with relinquishing it.
resell/trade/gift
- You are allowed to [resell] an adopt for it's resale value + any additional art that was purchased with irl currency.
- The resale value will always be the initial cost that the adopt was sold for + any paid add-ons through the group purchased with irl currency.
- While we will not require proof of purchase for additional art, we ask that you are honest and transparent with add-ons. Anyone found to be abusing this will receive warnings. Repeat offences may be subject to penalties.
- Free adopts (no resale value) CANNOT BE RESOLD, even if there is paid additional art. They can only be [traded] or [gifted]. Vouchers are not allowed for free adopts.
- You may [trade] your adopt for anything you see fit.
- Unless the description specfically mentions any restrictions, you are free to trade your Palopuff adopt for anything you see fit, as long as both parties agree.
- You may [gift] your adopt to anyone, as long as:
- They are not currently on the grey/blacklist
- The adopt is not still on cooldown.
- Any adopt that has been gifted will automatically have their resale value removed, unless the owner requests for it to be kept within the transfer reasons.
design rules
- Designers retain partial rights to their works. Please adhere to their TOS for any additional restrictions.
- You must obtain permission from the original artist to make any edits to their art.
- Heavily referencing another existing design and/or copyrighted works is not allowed (ex. Pokemon)
- All design updates must be submitted through the Website
- Exceptions to this rule would be small accessories/outfits, which do not require a masterlist update. All other changes such as marking, colour, and/or trait updates should go through the desing queue.
- Importing an existing OC/design into an adopt is allowed as long as:
- You have permission from the original designer
- The original designer is credited
- All designs are kept together if rehomed.
- You may not redistribute or mass produce the original art of your adopt in any way, including for monetary gains.
- You may use the original art for personal use (ex. profile picture, displays, banners).
payments
- All payments must be paid in full upfront, unless otherwise discussed (ex. payment plans)
- All payments will be USD through Paypal, unless otherwise stated.
- The artist will contact you in terms of payment method. Please do not send payment prior to confirming it with the artist.
- Unless it has been discussed prior, payment must be made within 48 hours within a winning bid/claim, after the artist has contacted you. Failure to make payment within this timeframe will result in the adopt being put back up for sale.
- Chargeback/refunds are not allowed. In the event of a chargeback, the offending user will be blacklisted and the adopt will be put back up for sale.
